About Me

Brenda C: Hi, My name is Brenda Carney and I'm studying a Masters in Public Relations and New Media at CIT. I graduated from DCU (2004) with a degree in Journalism. I went to work as a subeditor for the Sunday World and then the Irish Examiner after which I moved to the Galway Independent where I worked as a reporter. For the last three years I was the chief subeditor at the Tuam Herald which involved the design and layout of the paper as well as proofreading and rewrites. From an early age, I have had an interest in people, languages, music and communication. I love travelling and consider myself an amateur photographer.
